With a passion for everything creative and a background in retail & commercial branding, design & marketing, I can bring a fully rounded approach to your project and explore a variety of styles and designs that will work for you.

I work with Valspar wall emulsion paint, so you do not need to worry about the quality of your wall mural, or the longevity. Although each colour and design will differ, I will generally use 2-3 coats of the paint in all aspects of the mural, just as you would with standard wall emulsion. This ensures a very clean, bold finish, with minimal ‘paint strokes’, giving a more professional finish.

In heavy use areas, I will work with you to create the mural in the areas that are best suited. This might mean a more detailed design towards the mid-high parts of the wall and less towards the bottom, where if required, touch ups would be easy to maintain.

I do also offer an additional service of varnishing for a small fee. The varnish is completely clear and will dry matt, therefore not impacting any of the design.

FAQ’S

How long will it take?

Each mural will differ, however on average for a medium-large single wall piece, you will be looking at around 1 week. I will work on-site for an average of 5-6 hours a day, with little impact on everyday movements on commercial or school sites.

Do we need to prep the walls?

I always ask that all walls are clear of any boards & frames, hooks & nails. Any imperfections are filled & sanded, and that the wall ideally has a fresh lick of paint before work starts. Think of the wall as a blank canvas. If required, this is an additional service that I can offer.

Do you need to work outside of school hours?

No. If anything, it is sometime best to work whilst the children are in school, as they are able to see the work taking place and have a greater respect and appreciation for it. In my experience they are always very respectful and are aware to keep a safe distance and not to touch anything. This is usually helped by staff talking to them about what is happening before any work starts.

What if it gets damaged/marked?

Damage shouldn’t occur, and all precautions will be taken to ensure it is as easy to care for as possible. However, in the case of any ‘damages’, I will be able to arrange a return visit to touch up any areas and bring back to life.*

*A fee will be charged for any touch ups/return visits once the work is completed.

“The children love the work too and can identify their curriculum in the art.

Becca was professional at all times. She is used to working with schools and often stopped to talk to the children – there’s always those inquisitive ones that have loads of questions!

In the period she was here, she became almost like a member of staff… and this is likely why she was able to interpret our school ethos into visual art so effectively.

The impact is that we have a real talk piece: it’s a bespoke mural that represents our bespoke curriculum.”
